Sheger Betting is a new online sportsbook in Ethiopia and as such its platform is still a work in progress. The company is licensed by the Ethiopian National Lottery Administration and for now, it’s only possible to check a coupon code but not place a bet online.
Registration can be made using a phone number, email, or through a Facebook or Google account. So far, Sheger Betting has made clear that they will be using Amole, CBE Birr, and HelloCash as payment methods. The minimum bet size is 10 ETB and under Ethiopian law, a 15% tax will be deducted if the winning amount is more than 1000.00 ETB.
At the time of writing, Sheger Betting still hasn’t added sports and markets or an FAQ page, but the website advertises a 350,000 ETB jackpot promotion.
